Features
What ContactCross does.
The specifics of sync, the card scanner, contact records and follow-ups, including the limits.
Sync
Your Google, Outlook and iCloud contacts, kept in step.
Each connected account is read first, then every change is written back out. A contact that appears in one account is added to the others in the same pass.

- Google Contacts
- Connect with your Google account. Labels come across as ContactCross groups.
- Microsoft Outlook
- Personal and work Microsoft accounts. Categories come across as groups.
- Apple iCloud
- Connects with an app-specific password you create in your Apple Account. We never ask for your main Apple password.
- How often
- Every 15 minutes on Standard and Premium, hourly on Basic, every 6 hours on Free. There’s also a button to sync right away.
- Photos
- Contact photos sync along with names, emails, phone numbers and addresses.
- Conflicts
- If you’ve edited a contact in ContactCross and the change hasn’t gone out yet, your version is kept.
Card scanner
Business cards to contacts, with a review step.
The scanner reads only what’s printed on the card. It fills in the fields it finds and leaves the rest empty rather than guessing.

- On a laptop
- Hold cards up to the camera one after another. The scanner spots each card and captures it.
- On a phone
- Take a photo in the browser, or upload pictures you took earlier.
- In batches
- Upload a set of photos after an event. Each photo becomes one draft contact.
- Review
- Correct any field, add tags or notes to several drafts at once, and save only the ones you want.
- The original
- The card photo is attached to the saved contact.
- Formats
- JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB each. Monthly scan allowance depends on your plan.
Contacts
Room for the details that matter later.
A contact holds more than a name and a number, and you can find it again by any of the ways you group people.
- Fields
- Several emails, phones, addresses and links, each with a label. Job title, company, department, industry, skills and education.
- Dates
- Birthdays and anniversaries.
- Relationships
- Who introduced you, colleagues, family, friends, customers, suppliers and investors, each with a note.
- Tags and groups
- Up to 50 of each on a contact. On Standard and Premium, filter by them and save the searches you use most.
- Duplicates
- Flagged when two contacts share a name and email, name and phone, or email and phone. You choose what to keep, and can unmerge later.
- Import and export
- CSV or vCard in and out. Columns are matched on import, and you choose the fields on export.
Follow-ups
To-dos and reminders that belong to someone.
Every to-do and reminder is linked to at least one contact, so open a person and you see what’s outstanding with them.
